NO WIN, NO FEE COMPENSATION SERVICE. Are you considering claiming compensation for injuries that you have suffered because of an accident or poor medical treatment?
If so, contact one of our team at Wood Glaister to talk about your claim. We would be happy to discuss your case with you and answer any questions that you may have.
We have specialised in claiming compensation for accident victims for over 20 years. We realise that customer care and service are just as important as technical expertise when acting for a client.
We understand that the legal process can appear daunting and complex to a client who has never had dealings with the legal world before.
We know that the effects of having an accident or discovering that you have been the victim of a medical error can be devastating – emotionally, physically and financially. We will fight on your behalf to obtain the maximum possible amount of compensation but, just as importantly, will guide you through every step of your claim, providing support as well as expert legal advice.
Some of the most common questions asked by clients are:
Are there any hidden charges for your services?
No. Your case will be run on a NO WIN, NO FEE basis and we GUARANTEE that there will be no deductions or payments, win or lose. You get to keep 100 per cent of any compensation that we recover for you.
Is there a time limit for bringing my claim?
The law does lay down time limits within which claims must be brought but the rules are complicated and subject to many exceptions. The best thing to do is to consult us as soon as possible after your injury occurs so that we can take all the necessary steps to protect your position and maximise the chances of your claim succeeding.
However, even if your accident happened a while ago, it is still worth contacting us. We will be happy to advise you of the time limits that apply to your particular circumstances and whether we can help.
I have been injured by an uninsured / untraced driver. Can I still claim?
Yes. In these circumstances, compensation is paid by a body called the Motor Insurers’ Bureau instead of the other driver’s insurance company.
I have been injured at work. If I bring a claim against my employer, will my job be at risk or my career prospects affected?
Many clients are reluctant to pursue a claim against their employer for fear of reprisals or concern that it may affect their career. Experience has shown us that such concerns, whilst entirely understandable, are groundless. There are strict laws preventing harassment or discrimination against employees who pursue compensation claims against their employers and in any event, all employers carry compulsory insurance covering employees who suffer injury through accidents at work which are the fault of the employer. In practice, such claims are dealt with almost entirely by the insurer and not the employer.
I think I was injured or made ill by poor medical treatment. How do I go about proving this?
In order to succeed in cases of this type, it is necessary to obtain a report from a medical expert confirming that the treatment was not of an acceptable standard.
The selection of the right medical expert to consider your case is vital. Due to our extensive experience in this area of law, we have access to respected independent medical experts in all areas of medicine who understand the issues involved and can assess the treatment given and advise on the prospects of your claim succeeding.
Incidentally, many clients do not appreciate that such claims are not confined to poor treatment provided by GPs and hospitals but cover negligence by any professional who has treated or advised you in relation to any aspect of your health (for instance a dentist, chiropractor or optician).
